Titantic
In April 12 The Titantic sank in the N.Alantic ocean making history.
This is the book that the Images are from in bought in 1998, the second image is of the interior inside the ship on 1st class and the third Image is of the song title that the musical hero Wallace Hartley and his band played whilst the ship sank. The song they played was called 'Nearer My God To Thee.'

How The Titanic looks today
In 1985 a camera called ARGO toured the bottom of the ocean to view what still remains as the Titanic. Camera's found a wrought-iron bench end standing eerily upright. A large set of ceramic plates and whats left of the telemotor "power steering" for the ship. The wooden wheel and casting are gone but the part of that remains is still a potent symbol for a ship that was heading towards a rendezous with fate.

Some of the survivours of the Titanic
1st Image: 'The unsinkable Molly Brown' Mrs Molly Brown was a rich passenger, very popular on board. She had a bad feeling aboarding the ship and told her friends she was worried something terriable was going to happen. She gained her nick name The unsinkable Molly Brown because of her bravery and attitude during her time on the life boat where she took off her life jacket and began rowing with the men. She was a Strong character, very inspiring woman.
2nd Image: The countess of Rothes famously took off her life jacket to help others on board.
4th Image: The Hart family, they were on route to a new life in Canada. 7yr Old Eva survived. Mrs Hart said she was concerned about the label 'Unsinkable' and told her husband 'that is flying in the face of god, the ship will never get across the Atlantic' and sadly she was right.

An actual photograph taken of some survivous.
Dispite being rescured the survivous were still stuck out at sea for 9 hours in the life boats untill the ship Carpathia picked them up.

100 Years today the Titantic left Belfast to sail to America!
Here are some of the advertisements from a book that Karis's parents bought her in 1998 for her birthday.

Vintage Lamp Shades
Walking home from uni through town we saw these two lamp shades out side The British Heart Foundation charity store, they were about to be thrown away because they could not sell electicals so we asked could we have them. They said yes! so we carried them home, we also had a stand to go with the one, we gave them a wash and now look great in our living room!

Turning Retro finds into quicky stuff for your home!
Our friend Wendy is incredably creative and brillant at making stuff for the home. Here she has melted vinyl's into tier's and always has nailed a few to the wall for art. The tray is vintage bought at a charity shop. we will be posting much more of her stuff very soon!

Holly's gifts.
It was my sisters 11th birthday so i bought her 3 sets of make-up from Primark. There are in a lovely box and look pretty and mature. The go perfect in her girlie room with Laura Ashely wall paper.

Bits & Bobs
The Fire place is currently outside our garden, unable to use it but to nice to throw away so it has it own place outside which kind of works, makes the garden look the more unusual. I placed fake flowers to decorate it and a garden ornament. The sun light post card is vintage and kept in the bathroom. The retro Harmonica was a present for my father, he's very musically talented so it makes a cool gift.
